Description
This is a kit that provides an external clock interface to the QDX transceiver, greatly improving the frequency stability.
Please note: These interface boards are only compatible with QDX hardware versions 4 and later.
If you have a 10 MHz (or 5 MHz) source, the Multiplier Board will convert that input to the 25 MHz required by the QDX. This board contains a PLL chip and is powered from the QDX internal voltage regulator
This kit includes a replacement back-panel for the QDX, with a hole for the interface SMA jack. Also included are lengths of wire used to connect the interface board to the QDX.
Some soldering is required, and a small surface-mount capacitor on the QDX board must be removed. Here are more details:
