Description

Here is the latest Filter-Preamp from Turn Island Systems!  This is designed to complement the RX-888 and other SDR receivers that operate with a sample-clock around 130 MHz.  These receivers will receive up to 60 MHz (including the ham six-meter band), but in many cases the receiver sensitivity and alias-filters are not as good as one might wish, leading to poor weak-signal performance and severe aliased spurious responses from the 88 – 108 MHz FB broadcast band and other signals above the 60 MHz Nyquist frequency.

The 60 MHz Filter-Preamp provides 20 dB of low-noise, high dynamic range amplification, and an extremely sharp low-pass filter to virtually eliminate aliased spurious response.  The Filter-Preamp also includes a two-stage high-pass shelf filter (one stage is bypassable), designed to compensate for the generally higher noise floor at lower frequencies (and AM broadcast band signals), improving the overall dynamic range performance of your receiver.
