What would it cost when ordering from Europe, with regard to shipment cost and carrier/courier?
On June 20, 2025 I sent a couple of filters to the Netherlands, and was told that when it arrived there was a 21% VAT, plus an 8-euro handling charge.
But with the current political / tariff confusion I can’t guarantee anything!
I have been covering the shipping costs — this is included in the price. I definitely don’t make much profit when sending these things out of the USA, which is why I encourage people to order two or three at a time, as it costs me about the same as long as everything fits in my padded envelope. But I will happily send just one!
August 21, 2025 Update: A recent TIS shipment into Canada had a new 25% tariff applied plus the customary 13% “HST” (Harmonized Sales Tax) and a $10 handling fee, all paid by the recipient.
And my own expenses still reflect the tariff on circuit boards and components coming from China. I have had to raise my prices on new builds, but I have also reduced my margins so the increase isn’t as dramatic.
